In the forefront, the USS Dyer destroyer, which carried Roosevelt to Europe, in 1918, when he was Assistant Secretary of the Navy. The painting hangs in Roosevelt’s office, in his Hyde Park home, near New York City (now Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum).
